Microsoft has replaced the Xbox Live Gold subscription with Game Pass Core
Microsoft has launched the Xbox Game Pass Core subscription, which replaces the Xbox Live Gold service that has existed since 2002.
The price of the updated subscription has not changed - it is $10 per month. All the benefits of Live Gold are preserved: multiplayer and discounts on games up to 50%. All Xbox Live Gold subscribers have been migrated to Game Pass Core automatically.
There will be no more giveaways of free games: they have been replaced by a selection of 36 permanent titles:
