Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 4nm processor for low-cost smartphones unveiled
Qualcomm has unveiled a new 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 mobile processor for mid-range smartphones. The chip configuration includes 8 cores: four Cortex A55 cores with a frequency of 1.95 GHz and four Cortex A78 cores with a frequency of 2.4 GHz. The SoC also includes an Adreno 710 GPU.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 supports LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, FHD+ screens with resolutions up to 144 Hz, as well as cameras up to 200MP and Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology. The processor comes with WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and Snapdragon X62 5G modem.
The first device that will receive the new processor will be the Redmi Note 13 Pro smartphone. The device is expected to premiere next week, on September 21.
