Sony Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore TWS headphones unveiled
In addition to the PlayStation Portal streaming device, Sony today unveiled the new Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore compact wireless headphones.
Pulse Elite is a full-size wireless headset that provides lossless sound transmission. The headphones feature a retractable microphone and an AI noise cancellation system that can filter out background sounds. The headset comes with a special stand on which you can hang the headphones for charging and storage.
The price is $149.99 dollars or 149.99 euros.
Pulse Explore is Sony's first TWS gaming headphones. They deliver great sound, feature dual microphones and artificial intelligence noise cancellation, as well as lossless sound reproduction. The headphones come with a charging case.
The price is $199.99 dollars or 219.99 euros.
The company emphasized that the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore will be the first audio devices for PlayStation to use specially designed magneto-planar drivers that provide "audiophile-grade" sound quality. No release date for the new headphones has yet been announced.
Sony also unveiled PlayStation Link wireless audio technology, which offers low latency and lossless sound when wireless headphones are connected. The technology will work in Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore when paired with the PlayStation Portal device. With PlayStation Link, headphones can be connected to two devices at once, such as the PS5 and a smartphone.
