Adobe has released a web version of Photoshop with AI tools
Adobe has announced the launch of the web version of Photoshop, a simplified online version of its desktop photo editing application. Beta testing of the web version lasted nearly two years and is now available as part of all paid Photoshop plans (starting at $9.99 per month).
The web version of the photo editor will immediately feature the popular artificial intelligence-based tools, Generative Fill and Generative Expand, which appeared in the desktop version of Photoshop in May of this year.
These features are based on Adobe's Firefly generative artificial intelligence model, are commercially available, and allow users to quickly add, delete, or expand an image with text descriptions in more than 100 languages, while preserving the lighting conditions and perspective of the original image.
The web-based version of Photoshop offers a simplified user interface, and frequently used tools are highlighted in the taskbar.
Adobe promises to add many important features such as Patch, Pen, Multi-angle Lasso, and others soon. The web service gives subscribers the ability to invite other users to collaborate on projects and allows those without subscriptions to view and comment on files.
