Social network Threads is testing search by post
Meta Platforms has started testing a new feature in the Threads social network - search by publications.
Currently, Threads can only be searched by user name. The new feature is being tested in Australia and New Zealand, with plans to roll it out widely in other English-speaking countries.
"We are actively listening to community feedback and working on additional features to improve search," the company said in a statement.
After an initial surge, the excitement around Threads has begun to fade, so Meta is trying to increase user engagement on the social network. Over the past few weeks, the company has rolled out the most requested features, such as a "Subscriptions" tab, a place to view likes, and a repost tab. And last week saw the launch of a full-fledged web version of Threads.
