Mistral 7B is a large open source language AI model
French startup Mistral AI has developed a large open source language model called Mistral 7B. According to the announcement, the new technology outperforms other AI models in almost all parameters".
"We are releasing Mistral 7B under the Apache 2.0 license and it can be used without restrictions. Working with open models is the best way for vendors and users to build sustainable businesses around artificial intelligence solutions," the company says.
The developers emphasize that this approach contributes to the democratization of AI and ensures transparency, as well as allows other teams to test, adapt and improve the existing code base. Additional privacy for users is provided, as the neural network can be run on local computers and does not require access to the Internet or cloud services.
The Mistral 7B code is available in the HugginFace repository.
