The test version is only available to a limited number of users. To activate the function, you need to switch from YouTube voice search to song search. You need to record a song fragment or hum a song for at least three seconds. The system will then redirect the user to the appropriate content on YouTube - an official music video, a user video or a short Shorts video.

The same functionality is available in the SoundHound app. Shazam supports only the recognition of the music itself, it is impossible to find something through humming.

In addition, Google is testing another feature for YouTube - Channel Shelf in the subscription feed. It groups content released by a single creator in a day in a separate tab, folder or list. This way, subscribers don't have to navigate to their YouTube channel to see recent publications.
