Apple has announced a date for the unveiling of new devices
On September 12, 2023, Apple's traditional fall presentation will take place. The event, called Wonderlust, will be live-streamed from Apple Park. The presentation will be broadcast on Apple's website, on Apple TV and on the company's YouTube channel.
Smartphones from the iPhone 15 lineup, the Apple Watch Series 9 smartwatch and possibly iPad tablets are expected to be unveiled.
The invitation to the presentation includes the Apple logo in gray, blue and black, which could indicate the color variants that will appear in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup. According to leaks, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be very similar to the iPhone 14, but with some key differences. The notch at the top of the screen will be replaced by Dynamic Island, which first appeared in the iPhone 14 Pro lineup. The Lightning port may be replaced by USB Type-C, which will provide faster charging. These will be the company's first smartphones with a USB Type-C connector.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will get a display made with LIPO low-pressure injection molding technology, which the company first used in the Apple Watch. This will reduce the screen bezels of the devices from 2.2 mm to 1.5 mm. In addition, significant camera improvements are expected, as well as USB-C ports.
The Watch Series 9 smartwatch lineup will include models with 41mm and 45mm screens along with a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra.
