New GoPro HERO12 Black flagship action camera unveiled
GoPro has unveiled the next generation of its popular cameras. The HERO12 Black is capable of shooting video in 5.3K resolution at up to 60fps, 4K at 120fps or 2.7K at 240fps.
The new 27MP sensor allows you to shoot 8:7 aspect ratio video in all shooting modes. HDR-enabled video and photo creation is also supported.
The new product has a Max Lens Mod 2.0 accessory that increases the camera's field of view by 36% when shooting widescreen video and 48% when shooting vertical video compared to the standard lens. The new lenses are twice as scratch-resistant and have a hydrophobic coating. Video quality is further enhanced with a new version of HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization system and the ability to shoot vertical video with the camera held horizontally.
For HERO12 Black announced new shooting modes and new tools for video processing, support for timecode synchronization when working with multiple GoPro cameras, the ability to upload footage to cloud storage, as well as the ability to work with wireless headphones and microphones. The new product now features a 1/4-20 standard mount, making the Hero 12 Black compatible with standard camera mounts and accessories. Price The GoPro Hero 12 Black retails for $399, while the Max Lens Mod 2.0 is priced at $100.
