Samsung launched PRO Ultimate memory cards with read speeds up to 200 MB/s
Samsung has launched a new PRO Ultimate series of memory cards with increased speed and reliability for professional content creators. The new cards will be available in MicroSD and full-size SD formats.
Thanks to the UHS-I interface, the Samsung PRO Ultimate supports read and write speeds of up to 200MB/s and 130MB/s respectively. This, according to the manufacturer, is enough to work with large files, for example, video clips in 4K resolution. The cards are available in a wide range of capacities from 64 Gb to 512 Gb.
It is noted that the new products can withstand 72-hour immersion in water to a depth of 2 meters, a fall from a height of up to 5 meters, as well as work in the temperature range from -25 to +85 degrees Celsius.
Compatibility with DSLR cameras, camcorders, PCs and laptops, Android smartphones, tablets, game consoles, action cameras, drones and other devices is declared. Support for error correction correction (ECC) is provided.
Samsung PRO Ultimate cards in microSD format with 128, 256 and 512 Gb are already available in the global market at $21, $41 and $65 respectively ($29, $49 and $73 with card reader). In SD format, 64, 128, 256 and 512 Gb memory cards will hit the market in October for $19, $37, $55 and $85 ($27, $45, $63 and $93 with card reader).
