JBL Authentics wireless speakers get Google Assistant and Alexa support
In addition to wireless headphones, JBL brought its Authentics series of Bluetooth speakers to IFA 2023. It includes three models with a retro design inspired by the JBL L100 system from the 1970s.
The speaker cabinet is covered with faux leather and gold-colored metal inserts. On the top panel there are controls: playback and Bluetooth buttons, as well as rotary frequency controls.
The JBL Authentics 200 has two tweeters, a bass driver and a 6-inch passive radiator with reduced power consumption. A battery life of up to 8 hours is claimed for the JBL Authentics 300. The Authentics 500 features 3.1-channel audio with Dolby Atmos support and a 6.5-inch subwoofer. The total output power reaches 270 watts.
The devices have Wi-Fi support, Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants, and Ethernet connectivity. You can adjust the equalizer using the mobile app.
The JBL Authentics 200 is priced at €330, the Authentics 300 at €430, and the Authentics 500 at €630. Sales in Europe will start on September 15.
